Kaza-kazaboom! The ICM Total Meltdown

i_b05_09 Book 5

What happened

After Li'l Jimmy was captured, Mr. Rosebank warned that the ice was melting around the shrunken ICM and that because it had been shrunk it was full of energy; if it warmed up too fast it could be dangerous and they needed to type in the deactivate code fast. The ice melted too fast and the machine became unfrozen, causing a 'KAZA-KAZABOOM!' explosion. The ICM turned into a monster and went into Total Rampage Condition, pulverising the castle and smashing trees, rocks and the entire hillside while spewing out thousands of ice creams. Dash pulled his ratchet-raptor from his backpack, Mr. Rosebank jumped on, and they flew over the monster. Mr. Rosebank attempted to type the deactivate code into the control panel but could not manage it due to flailing and flying ice creams. Dash leapt and dropped onto the machine and crawled to the panel. Mr. Rosebank yelled the code (10810!) down and Dash typed it in.

Resolution

Dash successfully entered the deactivate code 10810. The monster was disabled, shrank down to its original size and temperament, and Mr. Rosebank calmed it down with soothing words and a head-scratch.
