Mainly Smiles

Wonderful, friendly creatures that smile a lot. When a Mainly Smile smiles, the smile takes up most of its body, which is exactly where the name comes from.

Mainly Smiles

They smile 98% of their waking hours and 99% of the time while asleep. Favorite activities: smiling, cuddling, and foraging for smushrooms. The diet is leaves, grasses, seeds, and, above all else, smushrooms. After a good smushroom the smile broadens and the creature vibrates ever so slightly.

For the record: lifespan 10 to 13 years, the same as a dog. Walking speed 3.1 mph, the same as you. Running speed 9.3 mph. They are fairly rare but widely distributed, with small pockets in every explored sector of Moremi Forest, the Foothills, and the eastern Open Plain. The largest verified herd stands at 133.

The only known tamed Mainly Smiles were discovered by Vesuvius Casablanca and now live in the Dashville Botanical Gardens. Dashville itself keeps a smerd (a small herd) and has made them official town mascots.

They have been kidnapped at least once, hoisted away in a net lowered from a chopto-hopto-copter by Petunia Trundle-Humple.
